We bought and moved into our first house just over a year ago, and there have been a few eyesores and little things that I’ve just wanted to update and personalize a bit!
This awful red and grey garage is near the top of the list of things that needed to be changed. I’m not a huge fan of red, especially big areas, and I think the red in the garage makes it look like an auto shop.
I’m slowly just cleaning and painting it one wall/ section at a time, hoping to also paint the floor sometime within the next couple of weeks, most likely something grey and shiny, like the epoxy paint from Home Depot.
Here’s the before and after picture of just the one wall, although I did the opposite wall at the same time. I already feel like it looks way better, and cannot wait to see how it turns out when I get the rest of the walls finished and the floor done! Then I’m thinking about making a little mudroom/ shoe area next to the door, but I’m not going to try to get too ambitious just yet…
Any helpful tips or tricks to painting a garage floor?
